The awards are presented, according to size, to the top companies in the multifamily real estate industry.  Simpson Property Group has been recognized as the Category II winner for the past 11 years and is the only firm to achieve this number of consecutive wins in the history of the survey. With 52 communities and more than 15,500 surveys distributed they achieved a response rate of more than 58%, which according to CEL is well above average. The National Multifamily Customer Service Award for Excellence was first established in 1997 and has since become the standard by which large and small companies in the industry operate. The award reflects resident’s satisfaction and ranking of the overall quality level of services and amenities offered at their community.  The entire survey process is tightly controlled by CEL; they look at the level of returned surveys in addition to overall satisfaction scores. Skyhouse Austin—the high-rise multifamily project being developed by Novare—has inked its firsts two retail leases. (Future residents will be glad to hear they'll be able to eat now.) And sneak peek: Next we'll probably see salon/spa and yoga/fitness leases.


Weitzman Group SVPs Michele Gary and Adam Zimel are handling the retail portion of the project and tell us the new users are Royal Blue (2,550 SF) and Salvation Pizza (2,800 SF). Michele says getting Royal Blue was crucial; it serves as the staple urban grocer for the residents. (There's an old multifamily equation: space + fresh avocado = occupancy.) The rest of the first-floor tenants will be a mix of uses, including salon/spa services and yoga/fitness tenants. The duo has a 3,200 SF end-cap space available, which includes a 1,000 SF patio—a rare find in Austin and particularly along bustling Rainey Street. Michele expects it'll lease to a well-known local or celebrity chef concept.

Here's Simpson Property's Jeff Clarke and Brandi Harrington, who are leasing the residential units. The 23-story, $67M Skyhouse Austin includes 320 luxury apartments at 51 Rainey St. The leasing center opened last week in anticipation of late November move-ins. Novare CEO Jim Borders says a lot of developers want into Austin, but he expects to deliver earlier than them and grab an edge.

SANTA BARBARA, CALIF., Nov. 01, 2012 – Yardi announced today that multifamily real estate development and management firm Simpson Housing LLLP® has selected Yardi Voyager™ as its core property management and accounting system.  Seeking efficient management of multiple business operations from a single platform, the company will also use several products from the Yardi Multifamily Suite™ that are built into Yardi Voyager, including Yardi Payment Processing™ and RENTCafé™.

 

The company elected to adopt a comprehensive suite of products for property management, general ledger maintenance, online leasing and resident service as well as mobile applications.

A resident portal available from RENTCafé will give residents at Simpson Housing’s apartment communities the convenience of several online services, including 24/7 leasing with renewals and maintenance service requests.  RENTCafé is fully integrated with Yardi Voyager, eliminating redundant data entry.  Simpson Housing will also leverage the mobile leasing and maintenance service request capabilities.

Simpson Housing LLLP has announced plans for the development of a 365,000-square foot, luxury rental apartment property to be developed in downtown Boston. The property, which has been named The Victor, will feature 286 apartments, 138 parking spaces and 17,000 square feet of premier ground-floor retail space.

Construction on this exciting project is scheduled to begin the first week of August, 2011 with a completion date set for early 2013. The property, which is located at Causeway Street and Beverly Street in downtown Boston, will become the first major apartment development project to break ground in Boston since 2007.

Upon completion, The Victor will be managed and leased by Simpson Property Group.
