For the first time in 23 years, The Pantone Color Institute™ created an entirely new color for the Pantone® Color of the Year. As Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute™ describes it:

Selecting their color of the year is just one of the important roles of The Pantone Color Institute™. According to Pantone.com, the selection process includes careful thought, analysis and can be influenced by everything from travel to fashion to the entertainment industry – and more.
So how do you freshen up your home with this periwinkle-inspired hue? Too much Periwinkle décor can be overwhelming. Throw in some complementary colors by using these helpful palettes provided by Pantone®. Another idea is to combine Pantone’s 2021 color of the year, Ultimate Gray, for a periwinkle and gray room.
Applying color to your home doesn’t have to be as drastic as painting. Find ways to throw a splash of Very Peri into décor of each room. For example, Periwinkle bedroom décor could include window coverings, bedding, and wall décor while Periwinkle living room ideas include area rugs and throw pillows.
