The maintenance and management team really care about the community and they are always very helpful, and kind.

Overall a pretty nice place to live. Spacious 2 bed apartment with large kitchen, living room A/C, good maintenance staff, nice ammenties, but expect your typical apartment living inconveniences. We lived in the F2 2 bed apartment for 2 years and really enjoyed almost everything about the complex. The layout is good, very large living room and kitchen is great at the expense of tighter bedrooms so it really depends what your priorites will be. I really can't emphasize enough that the kitchen size is larger than most townhomes and condos in the area. Having a built in A/C in the living room was a life saver in the summer months. However, the breakers are not wired to handle both the living room A/C and a window unit running at the same time so we'd have to pick and choose which room we wanted to be cold which was a minor inconvenience during the warmer months and heat waves. The property is located in a great neighborhood with lots of places to walk and a couple parks only 10-15 minutes away on foot. It was great to take our dog on a walk and not have to worry about busy streets. The grounds are kept in great condition with cherry blossoms in the spring, central marsh area that brings a touch of wildlife, and hydrangea bushes in the summer. The on site ammenties are nice enough with a pool, hot tub, and small gym. The leasing office was always easy to work with and our rent increases were never more than 1-3%. You will have to make frequent stops to the clubhouse as USPS delivers packages to the clubhouse to be held there for pickup. Some possible downsides you may encounter are loud kids/toddlers. Granted this may be a positive if you have a family and are looking for a community. Parking can be frustrating, especially the two bmw's who don't like any car parking near them so they purposely take up space that two cars could fill on the street. For the most part we were always able to find a spot, just not always on our street. Something to consider going forward is there's major construction going on in the area for the next few years with a whole neighborhood being built nearby and a City water project ripping up the streets surrounding the area. All of those however were things we were willingly to overlook as we prepared to renew our lease for a third year prior to buying a home. If you have the opportunity and means to live here I'd do it in an instant.

Professional and straight to the point, I appreciate them taking the time to consider me as a resident. If your looking for a lovley neighborhood this is definitely the place you want to go.

Security needs to be taken more seriously. I saw what appeared to be homeless men in their car sleeping in a carport near my unit. They were hunched over in their car in an unnatural way (they looked dead), had loads of cloths in the back of the car that could be seen through the window, and I never saw them before today. They left and now there is poop in the carport. I really believe that there should be security cameras on this property. I have seen homeless people come onto the property more and more over the years and other things of concern. I have been told to call Washington county non-emergency if I see something like that again, and that is fine but I believe that there should be some onsite security measures taken as well. I saw this when I was about to go to work at around 6:00 am. I couldn’t just wait for the cops to show up if I had called. There are many families with children here and I fear that I will see things like this more often; more shady characters in this neighborhood. I would give a higher star rating if there was some onsite security measures taken, because otherwise I have had a good experience here overall. The maintenance team is great and the lease office staff are good at their jobs I feel. Please take this concern from a long-term tenant into consideration. Update: the problem seems to be solved so far. Michelle has been very helpful and understanding of the situation. I am satisfied with the addressing of my concerns and the handling of the situation when I brought it up to her directly and in person. The office team should get recognition for this. However, I think security still needs to be beefed up. It must be expected that similar incidents will happen in the future and I believe that the property and management team should be prepared for this.

This review is long overdue! I can hands down say that VF has been one of my top 3 places to live in this area. Trust me, I’ve lived I quite a lot of apartments. (It’s somewhat embarrassing.) LOL. - What I can say about VF, The staff is excellent to include the maintenance team! The apartments are well maintained, the grounds are kept clean, and the location is great. Despite SQF being slightly smaller than I’d like, the pricing and location is the best! If I could’ve stayed with VF, I would’ve in a heartbeat. Move-in and move-out was the easiest! If I knew what I know now, I’d still be living with them! Truly, a great place to live! Also, bills were reasonable, neighbor’s quiet, plenty of parking, great walking trails. I miss seeing the beavers when walking my dog, a community garden nearby with free fruit or rentals for your own growing, the MAX transit (with zero issues for worry.) I can go on and on. Thank you so much VF! Who knows, I might be back in the near future! ☺️ Thank you for being 1 of the only great places to live around here.
