Cannot speak highly enough of Skyhouse and their staff! My husband and I had a SW corner unit with an awesome view (you want to be West facing). You can watch the bats, see the ACL main stage, fireworks for the 4th and NYE. It’s fair to say finishes and the gym are getting outdated but I know they are renovating units as leases end. For the price and location, it can’t be beat! The property manager Rob was always really responsive and helpful and concierge is AWESOME! One of the highlights living here is getting to see Chance in the mornings and all of the ladies in the evenings. Everyone was super warm and attentive. You don’t have to worry about your packages or safety. Some things you’ll want to note: parking is in a detached, semi-public garage so be prepared to walk and don’t leave anything valuable. Elevators malfunction occasionally and get crowded around 5 p.m. There aren’t dog amenities, but the lake trails are really accessible. PS: even being on Rainey St, it was never loud!

An AMAZING team. I was transferred here from the SkyHouse in Dallas, which I wasn’t the biggest fan of, but everyone from the concierge to the leasing team treated me so kindly and were super friendly! I also want to shout out Rob for all his assistance. Compared to other properties Simpson Property Group manages, this is my favorite. Units are being remodeled, the amenities are perfect and everything feels clean. It’s also right next to everything and it feels great to step out and enjoy the city.

Alright, future residents, I am going to give it to you straight. I have been living in the building for over 4 years now, so dont pay attention to all these little brats yapping for stupid things. 1- READ YOUR LEASE- It does not matter if it is 6 months or 2 years, you MUST give notice if you are not renewing. All apartments are the same so I am shocked how these people can't even keep track of their living situation. Do they live under a rock or what? 2- Frieght elevator was broken for many months, true. When I asked I was explained that the parts were a bit difficult to get, plus the labor. Do you think they have spair parts on the 13th floor? It was fine, not the end of the world and now everything is working. 3- The parking situation, tell where on earth are you finding overnight parking for visitors for less than 20 bucks on Rainey St? Nowhere, so stop complaining or park on the street or take an Uber. 4- The garage gate, it breaks here and there but you know why? Because God forbid stupid residents waste 1 second while the doors fully open or know what the door actually operates. So when they break it, all of us pay the consequences. 5- Maintenance,I have never had issues with maintenance. Every time my smoke alarm goes off or the water filter needs to be changed, I simply open a ticket and it gets done in less than 24 hours. Not sure what issue is with the washing machine, but if you are not able to use it for 6 months, then most likely you are the issue. 6- Leasing office staff and concierge, they are all very nice people. This area is very busy and there are only a handful of them, so they do their very best and they care about the residents- Kristi, Rob, Chris and Chance are great, never had any issues nor received any bad attitude when I go to them. 7- Communication- they are constantly sending emails about construction work noise happening around, streets closed down, power outages, extreme weather conditions, package delivery and Happy Hours! Again, great place so highly recommended.

I just love this place. I’ve lived in over 7 apartments between living in Philadelphia, New York, and two other apartments here in Austin and this is my favorite one by far. First, we all know management is typically a pain with apartments - NOT HERE. I love the people here, from Chris (leasing agent), Chance (front desk), and Rob (management), and the cleaning attendants. Everyone is so nice and has helped me with everything I’ve needed. Maintenance is easy and super quick if there is ever an issue, I’ve never waited longer than 24 hours. Next, location is prime. I had hip surgery in April and was limited to walks, so, being right on the trail has been my favorite part. Skyhouse is also far enough away from the noise on Rainey and I’ve never had an issue. Next, the amenities are great. The gym is next level and I’ve never had to get a membership anywhere while living here. The rooftop pool is always clean and chairs are typically available. Finally, my space rocks. The concrete finishes inside are really cool/modern, and I love sitting on my balcony. I also can’t hear my neighbors above me (which was a problem in my last apartment). We did have an elevator problem for a while, but Skyhouse stuck to it and fixed it. Again, this is not a paid/incentivized review, I just believe in giving credit where it’s due (especially in an industry that has sucked for me before). I really feel at home here and know life goes on and I’ll have to leave one day, but I’m definitely not waiting for that day to come. 😊
