For the 21st consecutive year, Simpson Housing has received the “A List” Award for Excellence in Customer Service! We celebrate the longevity and continued recognition of this award as it stems from the resident feedback gained during our yearly REACT survey.
What is the REACT Survey / CEL A List Award?
CEL stands for CEL & Associates, Inc. which is an independent consulting firm that benchmarks level of customer service in the multifamily industry. They present the A List Award to those who are named best in the industry for maintaining the highest level of customer service as well as meets or exceeds the award criteria. Simpson is honored to be among those named for 2023.
To create the benchmark, CEL surveys residents and uses the tabulated results to rank property management firms. Simpson lovingly coined this survey REACT as we use resident feedback to improve and exceed our residents’ expectations. In 2023, CEL sent 20,614 surveys on Simpson’s behalf and the 10,715 responses determined our scores:

As Venita states, our community teams are at the heart of this award. As such, they are also recognized individually for their outstanding scores. Out of the 70 communities that participated, 20 achieved the Platinum A List award level and 36 communities achieved the A List award level! Did we mention the 2023 survey broke our previous response rate record set in 2022? We received responses from 52.0% of our residents! We are so humbled by the resounding response and truly appreciate the time it takes for our residents to fill out this important survey. Simpson uses the survey to identify what we’re doing well and where we can improve as we strive to meet (and exceed) residents’ expectations.
We recognize that our residents have a choice in apartment living, and we are thrilled that Simpson communities are chosen as the place our residents call home!
