Frank Rooney is the Chief Executive Officer of Simpson Housing. Frank joined Simpson in 2008 and most recently served as its Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, he was responsible for the company’s capital market activities and closed over $5 billion in debt financing and $4 billion in joint venture equity.
Prior to joining Simpson, Frank was Vice President of Strategic Investments at Fannie Mae where he was responsible for identifying and managing equity investment opportunities including joint ventures with REITs and private developers. Frank previously held positions at Perseus Realty Partners, Amstar Group, Citicorp, and Andersen Consulting. He has over 30 years of experience in multifamily real estate.
Frank has an MBA in Finance from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and a BS degree in Business Administration, Cum Laude, from Washington and Lee University. He also completed credit training at Citicorp’s Institute for Global Finance.

Bob has over 40 years of experience in the acquisition, development, disposition and management of multifamily real estate. During his career, he has led the acquisition and development of more than 30,000 apartment units and in the management of over 35,000 units.
In his 30 plus years as the leader of multifamily real estate firms, Bob has relied on the sound philosophy of growing fully-integrated companies that buy and build apartment communities to be held as long-term investments. It is his belief that this focus on the details of the business, combined with ongoing investments in people, systems and the properties themselves, leads to a quality product and consistent and safe returns for investors.
Bob is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Multi Housing Council and previously served on the Board of Directors of Edens & Avant, a retail property owner/operator.
Bob served as an officer of the United States Army and graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in industrial engineering, and received an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Prior to joining Simpson, Bruce worked in public accounting with Ernst & Young and held various accounting and financial reporting positions within a variety of industries. He earned Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Accounting from University of Denver and is a Certified Public Accountant.

He has been a licensed general contractor in 19 states during his career.
Steve obtained a BA degree from North Carolina State University, and received his MBA from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro after serving in the US Navy.

Jeremy supports Simpson’s operational teams in the East with a goal to work collaboratively with all Simpson experts to execute all business plans and maximize returns for all stakeholders.
Prior to joining Simpson Jeremy served as Vice President of Operations for Scully Company focusing on acquisitions, operations, development and value add projects for the entire portfolio. Mark brings over 23 years of accounting and finance experience to Simpson and is focused on the organization’s debt transactions, maintaining strong lender relationships, preparation of Simpson’s annual business plan, and other forecasting projects.
Prior to his career with Simpson, Mark worked in accounting with the REIT, Chateau Communities. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Colorado State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Past portfolios included 15,000 apartment units and 16 million square feet of office, industrial and retail commercial space. He also was responsible for all Ancillary operations of an 85,000-unit national portfolio. Larry supervised over 10,000 new development units through lease up, executed numerous commercial and residential property renovations, and supervised commercial brokerage and leasing teams.
Larry holds a Master of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois and obtained his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, finance, from Drake University. Larry joined Simpson Property Group in January 2010.

Prior to joining Simpson, Karen worked in public accounting with Arthur Andersen LLP. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Colorado, Boulder and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Tina Tamondong is the Senior Vice President of People Services for Simpson Housing. Tina joined Simpson in 2004 as a HR professional and has over 20 years of human resources experience. She is responsible for leading Simpson’s overall human resource strategy and oversees organizational development, policies and programs, benefits, compensation, employee relations, recruiting, payroll, HRIS, and facilities.
Prior to her career with Simpson Housing, Tina held a variety of Human Resources positions at Time Warner Telecom managing employee relations and recruitment for over 20 cities nationwide. Tina holds degrees in communication and organizational management from the University of Colorado.

Tina Tamondong is the Senior Vice President of People Services for Simpson Housing. Tina joined Simpson in 2004 as a HR professional and has over 20 years of human resources experience. She is responsible for leading Simpson’s overall human resource strategy and oversees organizational development, policies and programs, benefits, compensation, employee relations, recruiting, payroll, HRIS, and facilities.
Prior to her career with Simpson Housing, Tina held a variety of Human Resources positions at Time Warner Telecom managing employee relations and recruitment for over 20 cities nationwide. Tina holds degrees in communication and organizational management from the University of Colorado.
Senior Vice President - Asset Management
Shawn Trobec serves as the Senior Vice President of Asset Management for Simpson Property Group. Shawn joined Simpson in 2006 in the accounting department before transitioning to analyst and reporting roles within operations and ultimately taking a leadership role within Simpson as SVP of Asset Management.
Shawn leads a team that acts as a liaison between operations, revenue management, accounting/finance, acquisitions, the executive committee, as well as Simpson’s investors and partners. Shawn’s team is responsible for assisting in formulating business plans, analyzing market conditions, and subsequently reporting and benchmarking property and portfolio performance against peer groups and multifamily market indexes.
In addition, Shawn manages Simpson’s utility management program, directs all real estate tax appeals, negotiates property level internet and cable marketing agreements, and oversees national purchasing. Shawn is continuing to expand the asset management function within Simpson by taking on acquisition underwriting and developing the company’s sustainability program.
Shawn graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Finance from Metropolitan State University of Denver and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
