Move For Hunger Impact

February 14, 2023

Our partnership with Move For Hunger gives our residents an easy option to donate their food when they move. Our community teams organized food drives towards the end of 2022, allowing all residents to participate and contribute to this cause.

As of February 6, 2023, Simpson Housing and our residents have donated 3,402 pounds of food, which is 2,798 meals!

We are thrilled with this phenomenal start to what is sure to be a very beneficial program. Read on to learn more on how it works and how you can get involved!

Back in November 2022, we announced Simpson Housing was partnering with Move For Hunger and since then, we’ve seen great participation. Move For Hunger is a nationwide organization that collects food donations from people who are moving to reduce food insecurity and food waste.

Since the partnership launched, our communities held food drives over the holidays and our residents have graciously donated and participated. Scroll through the photos above to see some moments captured at these events. February is the month of love and Simpson is humbled by how our residents are showing love to their community through this partnership.
