As 2025 comes to a close, we’re proud to celebrate the awards, portfolio growth, and new partnerships that fueled our success. Most importantly, none of this would be possible without our dedicated employees, who live Simpson’s Core Values and inspire us every day. Let’s take a look back at the highlights that made 2025 such a memorable year.
ACCOLADES
- Once again, Simpson Housing received the CEL “A List” Award for Excellence in Customer Service for the 22nd year in a row! The continued recognition of this award stems directly from the resident feedback gained during our yearly REACT survey.
- Simpson Housing was recognized again as a 2025 Top Workplaces winner across multiple regions, earning distinctions across five major publications: USA Today, Real Estate Industry, The Oregonian, The Austin American-Statesman, Charlotte Magazine, The Dallas Morning News, and The Denver Post.
- In February 2025, seven Simpson Housing communities won the 2024 Ellis Customer Experience Best in Class Award for excellence. This honor, presented annually by Grace Hill, celebrates the top 10% of properties nationwide that excel in providing outstanding resident experiences.
COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
- Simpson Housing earned a 3-star rating (out of 5) and a score of 83 out of 100 on our 2025 GRESB Assessment! This is a substantial improvement over last year’s results, increasing by two stars and 20 points. Simpson ranks 41st out of the 145 participating residential entities in the Americas. This rating recognizes our ongoing commitment to sustainability, responsible management, and transparency across our portfolio.
- Several of our communities have recently earned IREM Certified Sustainable Property (CSP) and EPA ENERGY STAR® certifications, demonstrating our continued commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

PARTNERSHIPS AND INITIATIVES
- Our commitment to sustainability and community outreach thrived through our continued partnership with Move for Hunger, which helps reduce food insecurity and prevent food waste. Simpson communities came together to collect and donate significant amounts of food to local food banks, making a meaningful impact in the fight against hunger.
- On Earth Day, we highlighted Simpson’s commitment to environmental sustainability, including efforts detailed in our Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility Report.
- We’re committed to enhancing the living experience for our residents, and Bilt Rewards aligns perfectly with that goal. By introducing this program in January of 2025, we began offering a tangible benefit that rewards residents for simply paying rent and going about their daily life. It’s one more way we’re working to make living at participating communities even more rewarding.
- We were thrilled to announce the launch of Simpson’s Book Nook, Simpson Housing's exclusive virtual book club for residents. Whether you’re a seasoned bookworm or just looking to connect with neighbors over a good story, Simpson’s Book Nook is the perfect way to engage, unwind, and share new perspectives—all from the comfort of home.
PORTFOLIO GROWTH
- We've been hard at work expanding our portfolio with two new developments. First up, is The Henslow Daniel Island in Charleston, SC which offers boutique apartments and townhomes with refined low country living. This community has been developed as a joint venture partnership between Simpson and Woodfield Development. Then we have The Residence Peninsula in Tampa, FL with its vibrant waterfront along the revitalized shores of Old Tampa Bay opening in early January, 2026.
- We also added Signature Reston Town Center Apartments in Reston, VA to the Simpson family in December. This Northern Virginia community offers an elevated living experience and is located just steps from the lively Reston Town Center. Signature Reston Town Center Apartments brings together upscale amenities, contemporary design, and unmatched convenience.
ONSITE TEAMS RECOGNITION AND EVENTS
- April marked our celebration of Onsite Teams Day, a time to recognize the hard work and dedication of our onsite professionals who play a vital role in creating welcoming and supportive communities. Additionally, Simpson’s annual Make a Difference Day in May saw 507 employees volunteer 1,818.5 hours with various non-profit organizations, making a positive impact nationwide.
- In 2025, Simpson communities celebrated the annual Holiday Coloring Contest, which received over 50 submissions from residents of all ages. The winners showcased exceptional creativity and added a festive spirit to our holiday season.
RESIDENT SATISFACTION

And finally, that brings us to the 2025 REACT Survey. Earlier in this post, we mentioned that Simpson Housing earned the CEL “A List” Award for the 22nd consecutive year, thanks to the feedback gathered during this survey—a true testament to our commitment to excellence. Each year, CEL & Associates, Inc., a third-party real estate consulting firm, conducts this resident satisfaction survey, which provides benchmarks for customer service in property management. Companies meeting or exceeding the criteria are awarded the prestigious A List Award, announced the following year.
The 2025 REACT Survey was conducted in June and July, achieving an impressive 47.3% response rate. This valuable feedback allows us to concentrate on long-term goals and foster continuous improvement. Additionally, several lucky residents were rewarded with free rent for their participation, making this survey a win-win for everyone involved.
